La Petite pause
And we take a break because I have a mountain of reading waiting for my attention and exams to prepare for. Come the weekend we will drive to the sea, to St Malo; let's hope that the sun will be out and we can enjoy lots of Normandy butter and its derivatives.
Above picture is of an apple tartlette from the famous ice cream shop Berthillon on the Ile de la Cite. The scoops that they dispense are so very tiny, after regretfully licking the last drops of ice cream one can look forward to another ephemeral treat of butter, caramel and apples. Bonne vacances!

Good luck for your exams!

Do indulge in a beignet ( or two! )avec Nutella ( which is my all time fave!! ) or Chantilly at Maison Hector (depuis 1920) in the town centre. I don't exactly know the road name but it has the most original one of a kind, donut in France & it is sinfully delicieux!!! And there's this place called Belle-Iloise that has magnificent sardines & tapenades! Even a resto/cafe which serves the biggest cakes ( like the ones in USA ) I've seen in France! J'adore St Malo!

Erin, the forecast is good for Sat and Sun so fingers crossed.
Erin, the machines dole out chocolates at least?
Asian Maman, thanks I have noted these names down.
